Flipboard for Android unofficially leaked!

Well, with its surprise announcement in a round about way at the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy SIII, the extremely popular news reader app Flipboard for iOS has finally (but unofficially) made its way to Android.

Now, from what I’ve read, someone has simply pulled the APK file off the new Samsung smartphone and uploaded it to file sharing sites so compatibility issues are going to be a big question.

I’ve downloaded the APK and installed it on my HTC One X and everything seems to be running fine. I even signed into my original Flipboard account that I had created on my iPad and it just synced all my news feeds up so I didn’t have to go searching for the RSS feeds I wanted, which was very handy!

Here is a link to the APK but as I mentioned before, there’s no guarantee that it will work on all android devices, my feeling is that only ICS devices are compatible. I guess only time will tell.
