Netflix being updated with new exclusive films and a ‘Recently added’ row!

Netflix has just announced some new big-hitting films coming to it’s streaming service and also a new feature in the form of a ‘Recently Added’ row. This new row helps you to find the latest and greatest content which has just been added to the Netflix line-up.

Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive is one of the films being added this week and it’s actually one of my favourite all time films so make sure you give this one a watch.The cinematography is beautiful and the film has one of the best soundtracks out there. With incredible performances from lead actor Ryan Gosling and co-star Carey Mulligan, this film is a modern day classic.

We also get Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs which is a very funny CGI film from Sony Pictures Animation based on the children’s book by Judi and Ron Barrett. The dialogue is well written and funny and the animation and depiction of each character is charming and believable, another must-see to be honest. The official press release is below.

Exclusive New Feature Films Added This Week in UK and Ireland

This week Netflix is adding two great films in the UK and Ireland, a great family movie and a crime thriller.

If you have ever dreamed of becoming a famous inventor, then Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a great option for a family movie night. Released by Sony Pictures Animation, and based loosely on the children’s book by Judi and Ron Barrett, Cloudy is a story about Flint (voiced by Bill Hader) and his pet monkey (voiced by Neil Patrick Harris) who together invent a machine that mutates water into food! Intrigued?  Check it out only on Netflix.

Or, if you are looking for a crime thriller that’s full of surprises, great cinematography and anchored by amazing performances by Ryan Gosling, Albert Brooks and Bryan Cranston, then Drive is the movie for you. Drive premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011, received a standing ovation and won the Best Director’s Award. Check it out only on Netflix starting this Saturday, 30 June.

 Introducing “Recently Added” On Netflix

Netflix is constantly adding TV programmes and films to the Netflix catalogue, so Netflix has decided to add a “Recently Added” row to the Netflix experience in the UK, Ireland and Latin America. This feature gives members who have been with Netflix for more than one month an easy way to find all of the titles that have been added during the past month. The “Recently Added” row appears not only on the web, but also on game consoles, tablets, phones and all other devices that stream Netflix.
