The Mass Effect 3 beta leak is more serious then we all first thought….

Much to dismay of BioWare and EA, the Mass Effect 3 beta leak story just won’t die and go away…

So as we reported over the weekend the guys over at Microsoft made a major boo-boo and granted a few very unsuspecting gamers unlimited access to a rough version of Mass Effect 3.

The first few things that leaked onto the web was the usual videos, screens and menus etc. However, this was a manageable leak to Bioware and they could have easily got themselves out of it. What came next was not so much.

apparently hidden in the leaks gaming code was a full breakdown of Mass Effect 3’s complete story, including new character reveals, alternate endings, which characters will live and who will die. So as you can expect, as soon as this was found it hit the internet and began the round on many gaming forums.

Now, since ME 3 isn’t actually available until March next year, EA and BioWare have gone into damage control overdrive. As you can expect the first thing the companies have done is go and issue the main online forum NeoGAF  (the first place where the leak popped up), a cease and desist letter. The cease and desist letter has forced the site to delete the threads that hosted 90% of the leaked info.
