New Xbox 360 Dashboard goes live Dec 6th!!

That new Xbox 360 Dashboard that Microsoft announced a while back, yeah this one:

Well, Microsoft has officially announced that it’ll be available to all on Dec 6th. I may or may not have been beta testing this the last while and well, if I had been, I would have to say it’s a brilliant update and ties the dash into the cohesive look Microsoft are clearly trying to get across Windows Phone 7, Windows 8 and now Xbox 360. The new day is extremely kinect heavy (which is a good thing, but not a requirement) and may or may not feature voice control enabled for Ireland!

Launching Dec. 6, Xbox LIVE Update Brings New Entertainment Experience to Console Owners

 

On December 6^th, a brand new entertainment experience will debut on Xbox 360 through a significant Xbox LIVE service update, free to all console owners. The update will bring a newly designed user interface (dashboard), expanded voice control with Kinect, and the first group of new entertainment custom applications.

 

Console owners around the world will feel like they have a new Xbox. The new dashboard is built from the ground up to take full advantage of voice control. Users will be able to effortlessly navigate through their favourite entertainment on Xbox 360 using voice or gestures with Kinect for Xbox 360*.

 

Speaking of entertainment, starting on December 6^th and continuing on an ongoing basis through the holiday months, a wealth of new content will be coming to Xbox 360. New, customized applications for television, movies, internet videos, sports and music will begin rolling out from world-leading providers in more than 20 countries.

 

Also, brand new personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile, Beacons and Facebook Sharing will launch with the December 6 update, along with enhanced Family Settings.

 

From game lovers to movie buffs, to music junkies and sports fans, even more of your favourite entertainment content will come together on Xbox LIVE starting December 6^th.
