Are you prepared to feel the force in April? No? What about a “Galactic Dance Off”?
Yesterday, Microsoft announced that the long delayed Kinect Star Wars will hit our shores on the 3rd of April. The game was originally due to be released December 2011 but suffered from a number of technical glitches that forced it to be put back for a few months.
The Star Wars themed motion game will be available on its own for €49.99 or as part of a (very sweet) R2-D2 inspired limited edition console bundle for €399.99.
Players who purchase the console bundle will receive an exclusive C-3PO unlockable character for use in Galactic Dance Off.
According to Microsoft, Kinect Star Wars will feature the following five modes:
- Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising (which will include:- Space battles, Speeder Bikes and Landspeeders and New duels.
- Duels of Fate (“a battle-by-battle experience to sharpen your Jedi skills against the Dark Side”)
- Rancor Revenge
- Podracing
- Galactic Dance Off mode (“Star Wars-themed pop tunes where those still honing their Jedi skills can take a break to battle Darth Vader on the dance floor”)
What more can i say? This game is either going to be amazing or well watch this space for more details…
