Review: Canon Powershot S90

IMG_0015

Yet again Canon bring a new Powershot in to the market ,

The powershot S90.

First look it don’t look like much very basic lookng etc.  This camera is much more then this its got its own retro look  this is a nice touch and this can grow on you .

Ok so whats this little baby got ? “I hear you ask”.

This little Baby is packed with a big punch its got the digic 4 Canons latist processor at 10.0 Megapixles much more then that its bout 200 euro cheaper then the  G11  and actualy can give the G11 a run for its money .

First off its a lot smaller then the G11 and can easly fit in a pocket but its more then just a compact camera its got Raw File format for the Pros and HDMI for the Video Director in you .

The Lens can all the way down to F2.0 – F4.9 which is very nice and its zoom is from 4x to 7x  28-105mm

I have herd folks say it lags a bit when you use the ring

but I have to disagree with them.

Now you all may know by now I am a gadget Freak

The Powershot S90 has a new Function called ring function  this is a great option  you can control your zoom from the ring or you can control your ISO use Manual Focus  and  Apature control to name but a few.

This brings back the retro feel of old film cameras .IMG_0014

This camera also works great in low light.

which a lot of compact  cameras can not acheave

The Dual anti Noise systemthis great in such a small camera

This is the second comming of the S Series it was 2005 when canon had the S80

(I sadly did not get a chance to play with th S80” but i’m sure it was good in its  day”)

The Pop up flash really works well I know it cant totaly remove red eyes but give you a better chance because  of its distance away from the lens .

The 3.0’’screen is crystal Clear  and is pleasing to the eye.  Apart from the Ring Function key it also has a Shortcut key (s) which is almost the same as the ring Function giving shortcuts to various Optons.

I was a little dissaponited  it did not have a View finder  which  in my opinion would be nice but it may take away from the 3.0’’ Screen so I’m sure canons Design works well with out the view finder.

Not forgetting the Optical Image Stabilization  which a lot of canons Power-shots and ixus seams to have now .
