Magnet Provides Ireland’s First Contract-free Broadband & Competition

Magnet has gone and launched a brand new Broadband Package called, Simply Broadband. At it’s most basic level, it’s a contract free, broadband only service! What’s not to like! It’s up to 24mb (where available) and it’s both uncontended (meaning that you’re not affected if more people join) and has an unlimited download cap!! And all this for 40euro a month! NOICE!

If you don’t have a telephone line at the moment, worry not, Magnet will install one for free and there are no line rental charges. If you’ve a line already they take it over and again there’s no line rental fee. When Magnet say no telephone what they are referring to is the fact that it’s a broadband only service and there’s no obligation to avail of any phone services. This is great as it suits a lot of people who use their mobile as their main and only phone service.
