Colossus – Where it all began (World’s 1st programmable, electronic computer)

Recently, Google caught up with some of the team that helped build and maintain the world’s first programmable, electronic computer. Created by Tommy Flowers, Colossus was used for code-breaking at Bletchley Park during World War II. This week marks the opening of a new gallery dedicated to Colossus at the U.K.’s National Museum of Computing, where you can see a rebuilt Colossus on display.
