Assassin’s Creed III images and video released.

So here it is. The first official news that Assassin’s Creed II will finally have a legitimate sequel. After Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, this newest installment completely changes things up by moving away from Italy and crossing the Atlantic for the American Civil War.

Not only have screenshots been released but also a full-on announcement trailer. I, for one, am glad to see this direction in the series and will certainly be picking this up when it launches on October 31st. Here are the screenshots and announcement trailer, enjoy!

(UPDATE: The game is also said to be launching on the Wii U. Not  clear if it will be the same date as the other consoles though.)
